Retrofit alignment sections cannot be selected

Hi,

I've performed a retrofit from a reviewed word file. Only minor changes had been made to the text of the reviewed file. When it comes to checking the alignment of the retrofit file, only the first 5 segments have connectors. All the following segments, down to 127, are greyed out and can't be selected.

I've had a look at other threads but can't seem to find an easy solution to fix this problem. Can anyone help?

Thanks

  • Hi ,

The retrofit alignment should only pick up those segments that have been changed. If you have a need to change the alignment for more segments then this may be because you have quite significant changes in the target file rather than just minor changes. If this is the case I'd suggest you translate the updated target file and use AnyTM to populate the file and add the corrected source translation that way; alternatively align the updated target file with the original source using the normal alignment features and see whether this gives you the ability to align what you need.
