I have been working with Multiterm for some weeks, creating various local termbases. Everything worked fine until some days ago. I opened my PC, opened Multiterm and was not able any more to open my termbases. Even the sample termbases included in the system cannot be opened.

• When I try to « Open a termbase », I get the following error message (French environment):

« Impossible d’établir une connexion à SDL Multiterm Server inconnu

Veuillez vérifier vos paramètres de connexion », although I’m trying to work locally

• When I go to «gestion des bases de données », my termbase appears on the screen and seems to be open but

When I try to right-click and close it, new error message: « La référence d’objet n’est pas définie à une instance d’un objet »

• And if I go to «Termes », it says « Fails to activate View « « Termes »»

• If I try to « Charger une Termbase » (and I do it with one of the SDL sample termbases) I got the following error message : « Il existe un caractère non valide dans l’encodage donné. Ligne 1, position 25 »

What I’ve tried so far:

• I checked my termbases in another SDL environment ; everything is working fine
• I have uninstalled and reinstalled Multiterm, including in different locations on my drive

Anyone to help me?
