Automation - superscript format

Question

Hi, 
 I have an issue with superscript formatting. 
 There are a lot of occurrences of 'SQM' (square metre) in my text that I should translate into m2, where 2 is in superscript. I guess, I cannot add any text in superscript to a MultiTerm termbase or autotext. 
 Is there a way to automate the translation of SQM into m2 (with 2 in superscript) (maybe using a regex pattern in Regex Match AutoSuggest Provider)?

I think the only ways to be able to handle this, for files that support the use of superscript, will be these: 
 
1. Develop a custom plugin 
2. Use Autohotkey to string together the use of the quick insert feature in Studio 
 
To use superscript means introducing tags into the target so things like the regexautosuggest provider will not work for thiis.
