Cannot validate SDL plug-in in Studio 2017

Everything worked just fine until this morning. Now, whenever I run a Batch Task, I get the following error message:

"Cannot validate SDL plug-in: Sdl.ProjectAutomation.AutomaticTasks.WIPReport.WIPReportTask, Sdl.ProjectAutomation.AutomaticTasks.WIPReport, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c28cdb26c445c888:"

It started when I tried to retrofit a finished project, but now appears for all Batch Tasks, which means I cannot create new Projects.

I found Article Number:000006412 in the Knowledge Base and tried the workarounds suggested there, but:

Workaround 1: Add-Ins does not contain a plug-in "WIP Report", so I could not uncheck it.

Workaround 2: I have tried repairing the Studio installation, and restarted the computer, but problem remains the same.

I have installed the latest Studio update. System is Windows 10.

What else could I do???

I'd appreciate any suggestions!

I see you have already tried the first suggestion on the above page, a Windows Repair but there are further possibilities suggested for resetting Studio... Note if you follow the 'reset' suggestion you will lose your custom settings. You can export these before resetting then import them but I suggest that in doing so you may reimport the setting that's causing the problem. so better to do a clean sweep.
If these suggestions don't help, try reinstalling both Studio and MultiTerm - download the latest versions from your SDL account (no need to release the Studio license when reinstalling on the same machine). Then open them both and allow any updates to download and install.
If that does not work, you can then get free help with licensing and installation issues that are preventing you from working, pretty fast:
    Fill in the form here:
Select 'installation' from the 'Case type' dropdown and give your correct email address so that they can contact you.
I hope there is a solution for you among these suggestions.
    All the best,
