Agencies often send short texts to be translated, accompanied by a TM from their customer.
Most of the time these TM's do not contain many translation units, but still they expect you to use their specific terminology as in the TM.
The problem is that in those cases you cannot get fragment matches due to the number of TU's being below a threshold.
Does anyone know why this threshold exists and what is the required minimum number of TU's?
You need 1000 translation units for upLift to work. If you have TMs with fewer TUs than that, then your best bet to ensure consistency is to make extensive use of Concordance. For a more efficient use of Concordance, my suggestion is to 1) launch Concordance search automatically and 2) have the Concordance window visible at all times by docking it next to the Translation Results window.
