Trados Studio 2019 compatibility with Trados Studio 2017 and MultiTerm Desktop 2017

Is Studio 2019 compatible with previous versions of Studio? Answer: "Yes, we offer full compatibility in terms of translation memory and bilingual files across Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019. Although translation memories and bilingual files are compatible across Studio versions from 2009 to 2019, as we continue to add more features, there are potential discrepancies in feature availability, word counts and filters when working in older versions of Studio. Some of the latest features such as upLIFT are only fully available in Studio 2017 and 2019."

New questions:

1) Will be the project and package format from SDL Trados Studio 2017 compatible with the project and package format from SDL Trados Studio 2019 and vice versa?

2) If I have access to termbase files from SDL MultiTerm 2017, can I work with them in SDL MultiTerm 2019?

3) Is the above term "bilingual files" the same as "termbase files"?

4) Once a termbase file from SDL MultiTerm 2017 has been converted to SDL MultiTerm 2019 format, will be possible to open the termbase file, that is in the SDL MultiTerm 2019 format, in the SDL MultiTerm 2017?

Thank you very much for your kind attention,
Best regards,

No.  Bilingual files refer to SDLXLIFF files which are the files you actually work on when you are translating.
