I have tested this and don't seem to be able to replicate the issue-

When you are in Profile/settings and change your address 

you need to scroll down the page to the SAVE button which I think is not immediately obvious.

Does this solve the problem?

Yes, I noticed the single sign on. 

But in the SDL Community settings there is an "Email address" field with the following description: "This is the email address we'll use to contact you."

I therefore naturally assumed that I would be able to use this field to set an email address for SDL Community emails.

Currently everything from SDL is being sent to an email address I use for email lists and other low priority email, and it is easy for important SDL notifications to be lost this way because of the volume of email that ends up there.

For example, I apparently missed an SDL notification about Studio 2019 advance purchases, and only learned about it when someone mentioned it in an SDL Community post.

I would like to use separate email addresses to avoid missing other important notifications (and I doubt I am the only person who uses a separate email address for email lists).

Hi again Paul,

Just to clarify my previous post.

I am not saying that I want to sign on to SDL Community with a different email.

I am fine with the single sign on solution.

But if SDL is going to run a forum that sends out large volumes of email, then it would be very helpful to allow forum email to be sent to a different email address.
