Error message when adding a new term through Studio 2017

Hello, everybody!

When trying to add a new term into my termbase through SDL Studio 2017 SR1 (14.1.10011.20356), I get the following error message:

Error message window in SDL Trados Studio showing 'Method not found' with details of the missing method, exception type, source, HResult, and a stack trace.

I'm also attaching the Error Details file as saved through the error message window just in case it may be necessary:

Finally, I'm using Multiterm 2017 SR1 (14.1.2441.0), and have not installed the latest CU because of its reported bugs.

Can anyone help? Thank you in advance.

  • Hi, Paul,

Yes, I have reset the windows layout while having the editor window open in Studio. And I've also deleted the xml files in AppData>Roaming>SDL>SDL Trados Studio>14.0.0.0, and reset the windows layout too, but it's been of no avail.

However, right before replying to you, I read about changing the Termbase Viewer from the Default View to the Flags View as a suggested solution to another error relating Studio's Termbase Viewer, and decided to give it a try. It worked out too, so I guess that's a temporary fix for this issue as well. I still can't see why the Termbase Viewer Default View would cause such an error though. I trust SDL developers will take note and come up with a permanent correction soon.

    Thank you. Enjoy your weekend.
