Trados 2007+WIndows 7+Office 2016

Question

Hello, 
 I still work with Trados 2007 and Windows 7. I recently bought Office 2016. If I work with TagEditor, no problem. If I try to work with Word, it doesn't work at all. The Trados menu does not even show in Word. Any solution? Thanks!

Probably no solution as the macros used in the old Trados would have to be rewritten to work in the later versions of office... we have not touched these for a decade at least. 
 
Your solutions are these: 
 
1. Drop that way of working and use Trados Studio, or 
2. If you only want to work directly in MSWord then try Wordfast Classic

You need to copy the Trados8.dotm (located originally in C:\Program Files (x86)\SDL International\T2007\TT\Templates) to your Word "startup" folder (C:\Users\<yourprofile>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP).
Though, full functionality is not guaranteed since no one can guarantee perfect compatibility with 12 years newer Office...
