Using Trados 2015 with InDesign CS4

Question

Hello, 
 I received some documents in InDesign, but the IDML files are read as InDesign CC, and could not be integrated into Trados Freelance Studio 2015. 
 I converted them with InDesign to CS4 versions but still to no avail. 
 Does Studio 2017 handle these files (better) or is there some other solution that you know of?

You could try to set "Process unsupported file versions" in the IDML file type, section "Common" prior to creating a project with the IMDL files in Studio. 
Studio 2017 can of course handle all CC formats, which are older than Studio itself, so even there sometimes it is necessary to use this option, when Adobe has modified the IDML and SDL has not (yet) released an update for Studio including this particular changes.
