TB doesn't work in Trados

Hi everyone

I am Luisa and I have a problem with Trados 2017 and TBs, since the last update I did a few weeks ago. Since then when a TB is present or added to the project even if a term is recognized and underlined with the red line in the editor mode, I am not able to see the definition in the Termbase Search view. In addition, even if I search the term manually, using the TB window in Trados, it does not appear (and I am sure the term is present in the TB).

I do not have the PSMA so I don't know what to do at the moment… Many thanks for your help guys!

  • Hi

I'm not sure if you mean you can't see the term at all, or if you can't see the definition of the term which is an additional field you have added to your termbase?  So let's assume the former to start with.  Try View -> Reset Window layout.  It sounds as though you just lost the term recognition pane, perhaps closed it by accident and now you only have the search pane.

Thanks for your help. Not exactly. As you can see from the image below, the term recognition pane is open. Basically, when I have a TB associated to a project, since I updated Trados, the term base recognition does work, because I can see that the source term is underlined in red; however, the TB search pane does not show the translation of the term. In addition, even if I see that the term is underlined in red (so it should be present in the TB), if I search the term manually, the Term base search pane says "No results available". If I open the TB in Multiterm, I can see that the term is present, but it is useless and convenient. I need it to show me the translation of the recognized terms in Trados, while I am working on a project. I hope that now the issue is clearer.

    Thanks for your help!
