I translate from English into French. I've noticed that quotes don't always write curly (despite me selecting that option in Studio options). It seems very random (although I think I've noticed it mainly when the quote is an apostrophe, i.e. attached to a letter). In my example I typed "j'ai" six times; the first two are curly, the next two are straight and the last two are curly. I didn’t do anything but type normally. It's a little detail, but it means I must do a search to replace any straight quote with a curly one at the end of every single translation.

No I don't use autohotkey. I can't think of any extra information to add. The problem happens when the quote is an apostrophe in French (j', d', l', qu', s', n'), whether with a capital letter or not, but it seems random as sometimes the quote gets written straight as shown in my example.

I'm not sure this is worth wasting too much time on, but it's one of those small details that can be a little tedious in long documents.

ok - I wondered if AHK (autohotkey) might have been clashing with Studio. I will still log this for some investigation but in the meantime perhaps you could use AHK? If you turn off the Studio feature and use AHK instead it might solve your problem. You could do this a couple of ways. One way is to use the approach in this article (last part of the article as it's quite old):

The other way is simply use something like this in the script for all the types of usecases you have:

::j'::j‘
::d'::d‘
::l'::l‘
::qu'::qu‘
::s'::s‘
::n'::n‘

etc. The idea being when you type those sequences AHK will replace them automatically with a curly apostrophe. Might remove that tedious process of replacing manually afterwards.
