An error “Dependency file not found”

I was running Studio 2017, and closed it in order to update OS.

After the update, I restarted PC and Studio 2017.

I can see the files I was working on, and click them to resume the translation.

An error “Dependency file not found” prevented me from going any further.

I can see only a part of path to the dependency file, but there is no dependency file as well as a part of the path in the PC.

(1) Did I screw up the process? What I did was: Save the file > Close the Studio, and restarted the PC.

(2) Any workaround plan?

Thank you in advance.

More often than not 'dependency file not found' will mean that the original file path is no longer where it used-

possibly caused by the OS update-

and closed it in order to update OS.

Also, certain clean up tools (such as CCleaner) may have deleted the temp files prematurely.

The first thing I would try, is to create a new project from the sdlxliff file then run the file through your TM (BatchTasks- Pretranslate), which should then get you back to where you left off.

If you are still having issues, please post the full error stack in the community as this provides invaluable information-

Error dialog box with message 'dependency file not found' and an OK button, with arrows pointing to 'Click here' and 'Advanced Editing Options' in the Trados Studio interface.
