Internal error: Multiple tags with the same ID "Italic" have different start tag properties

Question

Hello, 
 
 I'm working with Studio 2015 and I receive the same error message everytime Studio tries to automatically save my document. I received a package and opened it as usual. No update or plug in installed. My client works with Studio 2014. 
 How can I fix this quickly? Deadline is tight, as always...

Perhaps you can create a return package now, save it somewhere. Then unzip the original package and work on the sdlxliff files. Finally when you're done just unzip the return package you created and replace the sdlxliff files in it with the ones you translated. Zip it back up and rename as an SDLRPX. 
 
At the end of the day these packages are just zip files containing the SDLXLIFF files. 
 
Alternatively, perhaps the error is coming from the sdlproj file which is being written to when you save your project. If you can send me the package you received I'd be happy to take a quick look and see if I can find the problem? pfilkin@sdl.com

I was able to save the target if I entered a missing placeholder tag in one of the segments. You can find this running a QA check with F8 when the file is open for example.

"Times..." is not the placeholder and this is not the problem tag. That would be a formatting tag which you are probably just hiding - press Ctrl+Shift+H to display them. The problem tag here is the placeholder with tag ID#463. You can copy this over with Ctrl+comma. I tested this in Studio 2015 and 2017 and it's no problem.
