Cannot open xlsx files with Trados Studio 2014

Question

Hi, all. 
 When I try to open xlsx file with Trados Studio 2014, there is an error message saying "Invalid File format". I converted the file into ods. and again the error comes, " The file xxx cannot be opened as it contains languages that are not configured for this installation." 
 I tried a csv file and a doc file, but I got similar messages. 
 I used to open doc and xlsx files while ago with this version of Trados. 
 Does anyone have an idea to fix this?

Unfortunately I no longer have 2014 installed so cannot test the file. 
However I suspect that the excel file was created in a newer version of office that is NOT supported by (the now retired) Studio 2014 version. 
 
You could try saving the .xlsx file as an older xls version and see if that works. 
If this is the case, you may want to think about upgrading.... as this issue will most likely pop up more and more often as your clients upgrade their Studio and Office versions.
