"The executable program this service is configured to run in does not implement the service. (HRESULT 0x8007034B)" Studio 2014 Win 7

Question

After a recent Windows 7 update I cannot launch Studio 2014. Every time I try I see a window saying "The executable program this service is configured to run in does not implement the service. (HRESULT 0x8007034B)".

Has anyone else experinced this and jbow a way to rresolve the problem?

If Windows has been updated, this would suggest the Studio application has been corrupted. 
Simply go to programs and features (in Windows)- Installed Programs- search for Studio and then right click- Run as administrator- Repair installation.

Then I would suggest resetting SDL basic settings- 
Go to- C:\Users\[USER_NAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\11.0.0.0 
 
then rename the following 3 XML files (add something like' _OLD' at the end) 
1-BaseSettings.xml 
2-Plugincache.xml 
3-UserSettings.xml 
Now restart Studio. 
 
If the problem still persists then the last option will be to reset Studio back to the default settings.
