Incomplete sdlxliff – doc finalizing

Question

Hi everobody,
Today, I tried to Finalize a completely translated sdlxliff file (consisting of cca 2700 segments) but, unlike otherwise, the generated Word file remained from a point corresponding to the 204th segment untranslated – it means, the beginning (1st-203rd segment) was correctly exported into the target language (Czech) and the resting (204th-2700th) segments remained in the original language (English). All previous files were finalized perfectly, their Word files were completely generated into the target language. I use SDL Trados 2015 Freelance with 64-bit WIN8.1CZ. Any idea please?

Hi Paul, 
finally, I resolved my problem by dividing the source DOC file into two parts whose processing ran faultlessly afterwards and, then, I marged two partial target files into only one...

I haven't seen this for a while, but the solution is often this. 
 
- find the segment in Studio where the problem starts 
- copy a few segments before and a few segments after to target 
- save the target file again 
 
Sometimes there is hidden content between segments that caused this in older versions. Copying source to target for a few segments before and after normally fixes the problem.

You could try recreating your project using a different version of the Word filetype? Or take the trial version of Studio as it's a more recent release and recreate the project with that.
