Any way of auto-substituting 1 January for 1 janvier, or January 1918 for janvier 1918?

Hi,

I'm currently translating a book on the history of the First World War. Fascinating, but chock full of dates, naturally.

If the SL segment contains 1 janvier 1918, I can go Ctrl-, select 1 January 1918 from the list, and then hit Enter to insert. That's already saving me endless typing -- and mistakes -- which is cool.

Two things I'd also like to be able to do:

  1. If the SL contains just 1 janvier, or janvier 2018, rather than a complete date, I have to type "1 Jan" (or maybe "1 J") before auto-complete kicks in and offers me January. Perhaps I'm just being lazy, but I'd like to be able to go Ctrl-, and see 1 January or January 2018 in the auto-substitution list.
  2. I have lots of instances of date ranges like 1-3 janvier 1918, or 1-3 janvier and it would be great if there were some automatic way of generating 1-3 January 1918 or 1-3 January in the TL, ideally with an n-dash (Ctrl+Num -) rather than a simple - character, as that's the standard in the style guide I have to work to.

Any ideas for either of the above?

Yes, I know I'm asking a lot, and I'm probably being bone-idle lazy, but there's about 60,000 words of this stuff!

Regards,

Steve
