Dear all,

Here I am once again with a new problem when I try to open a word document (.doc). I get the following message "This Microsoft Word document cannot be opened because it contains tracked changes that have not yet been accepted or rejected." and Studio 2011 doesn't allow me to open the file.

I tried all the proposed solutions in kb (it seems it's a known bug) but none of them seems to work. I saw that the document sent by the client contains many tabs/images, I tried to modify them (either adding and deleting spaces, or re-sizing images) and accept all changes but I still get this damned error message...

Can anyone please help me? I don't know what to do...

    3 options that have helped me:
    1) Make sure that Track Changes is still not 'ON' in the document.
    2) Save the Word doc to a Word XML.
    Close the file.
    In Word, File | Open the XML file.
    Accept all changes in document.
    Save back as .doc/.docx.
    Now try to add back into Studio.
    3) In Word, File | Check for Issues | Inspect document | Inspect.
    If you have see a red ! next to 'Custom XML data', click on Remove All. (We have had some heavily formatted word files and this doesn't seem to affect anything in them).
    Save.
    Now try to add back into Studio.
