Adding private local TMs to a Groupshare project.... WITHOUT sharing the private local TMs

I have never used GroupShare. I'm being asked to use GroupShare for a potential translation project. I also want to use my own TMs.

How can I be sure that my personal, private local TMs are NOT shared with anyone else on the project?

  • Hello ,

I am assuming that you are a freelancer and your client is asking you to work in GroupShare (GS).
There are two scenarios in this case-

    1) Your client has provided you with a link to work directly online via their their servers.
In this scenario, you do not have the ability to use any of your own resources (only those provided by your client).
Therefore your personal resources are safe and cannot be shared.

    2) Your client has sent you a GS package for you to work 'offline'.
This scenario does allow you to work with your own resources, but as you are working 'offline'- your resources are not 'shared' with anyone.
Once you create a return package, none of your own resources will be added, so you can rest assured, unless you want to share, no one else will have access to any of your TM's.
