Studio 2019 QuickInsert issue

Question

I am trying to add a new QuickInsert for the ellipsis character (&hellip;) in Studio 2019. 
 
 I go to 'tell me what you want to do...' and type QuickInsert. 
 
 The first result lead me to the relevant setting. I am adding a new QuickInsert and I specify that I want to to appear on the Home > QuickInsert menu. 
 
 I close and re-open Studio and it is not shown anywhere. 
 
 So I click on the lower right arrow of the menu and I get this error

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Paola 
 
You seem to have added the quick insert so it's available to you when handling SDLX bilingual files (SDL Edit). Is that what you wanted? The quick insert is added by filetype and not globally because with some filetypes it's not possible to use them. When you did the tell me you had 45 results and that's because you probably had a result for all the filetypes.

Then open your Project Settings, navigate to the filetype that you are translating (so whatever it was before it became an sdlxliff) and add the elipsis in there. 
 
If it was me I'd use AutoHotkey and then you don't have to add this every time you get a project: 
 
 multifarious.filkin.com/.../ 
 
Or even use the Insert Symbol option in the Advanced Ribbon when you have a file open for translation. Both these options are a lot better than the Custom Quick Insert option which is mainly useful for the localization enginer, or project manager, to use when preparing the project so that you have them available to you automatically.
