Hello,
I have Studio 2017 and 2019 installed. The SDL plugin installer is also installed.
I downloaded the "WordCountCopy.sdlplugin" version 2019. When double clicking, Studio 2017 opens, but nothing happens either to 2017 or 2019.
Apparently the plugin installer does not work.
Can I just copy the file and insert it for use in 2019 as follows: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15\Plugins\Packages ?

Where exactly are you 'double clicking'?
Once you install the app and restart Studio- you should simply be able to right click on the folder/file- (or from the 'add ins' tab)
Then you can copy these directly into say Excel from the 'clipboard'-
If this is still not working, please let me know.

Hi Rita Depuydt , try installing Studio 2019 again but make sure you do this with admin rights. So right-click the installer and select run as administrator. This is not normally necessary but sometimes the security on some users machines prevents Studio from working correctly. The reinstall might also ensure the file associations are working correctly too.
