Studio 2019: error message "failed to deactivate view 'translation memories'"

Question

So I had a project open, wanted to close out of it. I was apparently in TM view, clicked the X on the tab to close it. Pop-up with the error message :"failed to deactivate view 'translation memories'" appeared, and now Trados is completely blocked: every time I launch it, it opens to this message and I can't do anything else. I've restarted etc, with no luck. Any ideas on how to make this message disappear? 
 I haven't uninstalled and reinstalled yet, was hoping to avoid going that far... Thanks!

Try using View -> Reset Window layout and see whether that frees it for you? 
 
If it doesn't then try deleting this file: 
 
c:\Users[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0\TranslationMemoryRepository.xml 
 
Less painful than a complete reset and it might do the trick
