I downloaded 2019 Trados Studio a couple of days ago, and now I am trying it out. I have old translation memories (.tmw) which I would like to convert to the current TM format. I repeatedly tried to upgrade them using 'Upgrade Translation Memories' feature, but failed every time.
I click on 'Upgrade Translation Memories', then I select 'Add file-based TMs...'. Then I choose the .tmw file I need in the pop-up window 'Select Input Translation Memories' and click 'Open'. At this point, the selected memory should display in 'Upgrade Translation Memories' window, but it does not. If I click 'Next', I get the following message: 'No input translation memories have been added. Please add an input translation memory.' Am I missing something? Very new to this software, so maybe it may be a very basic mistake.
