Attempting to start Studio 2017 SP1: "The specified path file name or both are too long /…/ file name must be less than 260 chars”, after opening GroupShare files on my drive (Win 7). Files are no longer present on the drive now, but Studio still seems to point to an incorrect path. Is there a workaround?
Solved: I could fix this by removing the faulty project in "Projects.xml" file.
Just wanted to say thank you, Fredrik. I just came across the same problem in Studio 2019 SR2, I couldn't start Studio because I would get this error, but removing a faulty project allowed me to open it. The problem came from attempting to open a faulty downloaded package. After reading your post I checked and realized that the project folder had in fact been created, so by erasing the whole folder I was able to open the program. Explaining all this for the record, hopefully will help others like your post helped me.
