Studio 2019: Translation Results lookup horribly slow with default settings

Question

Hello,

I installed the Studio 2019 as an upgrade to Studio 2014. Unfortunately, all projects set up with existing TMs (upgraded, of course) and new TMs suffer from a horribly slow lookup of the translation results in the editor window.
I've been struggling with this issue even while processing very short files with TMs storing no more than, say 50 or so pairs.

What gives? Is this the AutoSuggest or something else in the default setup bogging the lookup? I find it extremely inconvenient and unacceptable, especially when compared to the super-fast lookup times in Studio 2014, even with multiple large TMs enabled.

UPDATE: The problem I'd experienced was resolved with a LOT of CPU computing power, 16 GB of RAM and the Trados + the TMs processed in it on the same partition on an SSD M.2 hard drive. Yes, the M.2, which is that dongle format you plug directly into the motherboard; unlike with the SATA interface (not to mention traditional HDDs with spinning discs and moving write/read heads!), the read/write speed is insane and, as my experience has demonstrated, sufficient to support real-time lookup.

I think it would make sense for you to log a support case for this issue so a support engineer can try to identify what's causing the problem for you. I'd recomend you log a case for this.

You have two options: 
 
1. Submit a case using a webform 
2. Use live chat to get a licence reset

Seems it was a misunderstanding as you are reading the automatic reply that all non-SMA customers receive when logging a Case. Your ticket is still open, and one of our engineers will get in touch with you, tomorrow most-likely. In the meanwhile, can you provide a little more background information I can share with the support team before they get to you? 
 
Are you using data on a shared-drive? 
Have you performed any tests with local TM’s/TB’s? 
Have you disabled look-ahead, match repair and all those bells and whistles? 
 
This will just help to get an idea where to look before the call.
