Bad segmentation in xlf files

Question

Hi, 
 Our client has sent us a xlf file for translation, and when I run it in Studio the segmentation is terrible, there are separate chunks of text together in the same really big segment. 
 
 It's like this all throughout the document. 
 Does anyone know how I could get a proper segmentation with this type of files?

If you're using a recent version of Studio you can possibly use the embedded content processor to handle this. Otherwise you would handle the file as a monolingual XML file and create a custom filetype for it.
