I am using the latest version of Trados Studio 2019 and have not altered the default window layout.
Adding a new term using either Quick Add Term or Add Term is incredibly slow.
Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?
Thank you,
Neil

Thanks Paul. I'm trying to download it but the website keeps telling me to login even though I am already logged in and refuses to let me download it. I'll try tomorrow and see if I can obtain it. But it looks exactly what I need!
Still not working after clearing cache, even though I am logged in to post this. Haven't got time to mess with it now. Will look at it tomorrow after a system reboot. Thanks anyway.
I managed to obtain it by logging in with a different browser, as you suggested Paul. I tested it briefly and Rapid Add Term seems a vast improvement.
A very big "thank you" to the developer!
Excellent... I'll be sure to pass this on. Let me now if there are things it should do in addition to being the "no-questions-asked" solution it is now.

I'll test it thoroughly over the next few days. Will let you know if there are any issues. Thanks again!
Paul, is there a quick way to refresh the termbase viewer to see all terms that have been added with this plugin? Thanks.
Is that in the termbase viewer? I don't see any such option...
One problem I can see with this plugin is that multiple translations of terms go in as separate entries, rather than alternate target terms for the same source term, thus causing false positive quality control errors. Given that quality control is the primary reason that I use the termbase function in Studio, this looks like a blocking factor for me, unfortunately.

Yes. A few ways:

This is a valid concern we will look at. For tie time being you could create a new default termbase just to quickly add terms from your project and then import this into your main termbase afterwards. That process could deal with duplictes for you and might be a good way of sanitising what you have entered for QA before they get lost in a much larger termbase.
In the meantime we will look at how we can address this without sacrificing the speed, so something like this I guess:

We have updated the plugin so it now checks for duplicates as well:
https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/rapid-add-term/1050/
You can't add an existing term with this app so you'll need to add with the out of the box add term feature if you decide you want to add a duplicate anyway. But at least you can safely work through with this app and it won't add duplicates in addition to correctly adding synonyms. Quite a neat little plugin.

Excellent. I have reinstalled it and just run a few tests and it seems to work perfectly.
I'll let you know if there are any further issues.
Many thanks!
