"Internal" packages folder in the project package

Question

Hello. I have a question about the project package. When I create a project package, an "internal" packages folder is also created in which there is anther project package file with the file name with the date and time it was created (I think..). What is this folder and the package file for?

This is just a backup folder that contains a record of all the packages you sent in the Packages -> Out folder, and all the return packages you received in the Packages -> In folder. It can be useful for troubleshooting and ensures you always have a record of all movements within your project.

 No. But you could probably create a small batch script to find and delete them all whenever you run them. Maybe something like this: 
 FOR /d /r . %%d IN (Packages\Out) DO @IF EXIST "%%d" rd /s "%%d" 
 Or this if you don't want to be asked if you're sure: 
 FOR /d /r . %%d IN (Packages\Out) DO @IF EXIST "%%d" rd /s /q "%%d" 
 Or... use Trados Live Team for your work and create all your projects in the cloud. Then you just send your translators the link to the projects by assigning them and they can choose to working in Studio or in the cloud with the online editor. No packages needed.
