First of all I'd make sure I was applying the changes in the appropriate place... File-> Options (or the Project Template you are using) vs Project Settings for example. Then if that wasn't the problem I'd make sure I had not tried to use a Project Template from a previouos version of Studio.

Then, or maybe the first thing after all... make sure you are not handling an XLS as opposed to an XLSX since only the filetype you mentioned will be used for an XLS.

I suddenly have the same problem with a bilingual Excel file.

I create a bilingual file every week for the same client who sends the same type of Excel every week. And this week it suddenly doesnt work anymore...

I tried these steps you mention again and I also followed this videao below. I tried with the old template, new one, without template, with File and Options...

Same problem as in your file is picked  by the monolingual Excel filetype?  If not I suggest you create a new thread and explain what your problem is.

If it is picked up like this (as a monolingual Excel file) then the answer is undoubtedly in this thread and you need to check how you are preparing your projects and make sure the bilingual Excel filetype can be picked up..
