SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR1 and SDL MultiTerm 2019 CU1 are now available!

Hi all

We have released SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR1 and SDL MultiTerm 2019 CU1 earlier this week. You can update via the AutoUpdate feature in Studio and MultiTerm or via downloading them from your SDL account. The Studio release notes are available from https://sdl.dist.sdlmedia.com/distributions/?o=A7869162-ACEE-4DEC-B98D-5B5FD4DB4869 ; the MultiTerm CU1 information is available at https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0027380.

Hi Daniel

Would you happen to know when Trados 2019 SR1 / Multiterm 2019 CU1 will be available on the FTP server?
Company network settings prevent my team from downloading via auto-update or through the Downloads page, but the IT team set an exception for us to download through FTP.

Hi Steven, thank you for the reply.

Unfortunately the download link you pointed out does not work for us. We use a special portal page that only allows certain ftp connections through the firewall (as far as I understand) and the link you provided first redirects before making an ftp connection.

Since Trados Studio 2015 we have been getting the files from "ftp-emea.sdlproducts.com/SDL_TP/" which has always been updated with the most recent files, until now. The CU articles always include the ftp link and login information. (example: gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge

Recently a "silent version" was uploaded to this ftp, but it does not work for us.

Could you please have the normal files (not silent) for Trados Studio 2019 SR1 and Multiterm 2019 CU1 uploaded to the ftp as usual?

Hi Ray Huot ,

The installers are now available from FTP as follows:

SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR1:
ftp-emea.sdlproducts.com/.../SDLTradosStudio2019_SR1_44109.zip

SDL MultiTerm 2019 CU1:
ftp-emea.sdlproducts.com/.../SDLMultiTermDesktop2019_43891.zip

The credentials are as per the KB articles. Would this work for you?

Hi Daniel

Sorry to bother you again. I was able to download the packages from the ftp, however they do not include the required dependencies and we could not complete installation. The packages on the ftp usually include some "vcredist" or other dependency files that we install. The error we are getting now is "The following components failed to install: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 (x86 and x64)." Would you be able to put the dependencies in the package on the ftp?

Hi Fasil Aziz - would you be able to advise? And maybe Ray Huot you may need to work with your IT to download .NET 4.7.2 from Microsoft and include it manually in the packages, it might be a new OS-level prerequisite that needs to be in place before running re-packaged installers.

The error message would suggest that the dependencies ARE indeed included (as the installer actually WAS LAUNCHED), but failed to install for some reason.
And that reason would need to be investigated by you...
