I have the same problem since a couple of days. I tried to resolve it by upgrading TM, but no use. Then I get error "TM data file is corrupt". So I upgraded Studio 2018 into Studio 2019, still the same. Did a reset, and still having the problem.

Please, anyone knows a solution?

I have seen this error reported on the Proz site and the suggestion was that it was caused by a corrupted Autosuggest dictionary. See here:

There were two solutions given. The first was to try removing all your AutoSuggest dictionaries, then check if the issue has disappeared. Then start adding the dictionaries again one by one, each time testing if the issue is re-introduced. Doing so you can identify the culprit AutoSuggest dictionary.

The second suggestion, if the above did not work was to try reinstalling. If that does not work, you can contact SDL Installation Help free of charge, here:

A form will appear. Fill it out and remember to include your email address accurately as this is how they will contact you. Select 'Installation' from the Case Type dropdown menu and give as much information as possible on how this occurred. Someone can then contact you with a view to taking a look at your setup remotely to find a solution.

Hi Fleur and Alison,
I’m working on a PC.
I’ve seen this autosuggest problem on proz, but didn’t have any installed.
After uninstalling and installing Trados, the problem was the same.
I finally find the solution, deleting one by one the latest TMs, the problem came from a corrupted TM.
Fleur, I can suggest you doing the same with the latest TM, deleting them one by one, and trying to open Trados each time.

Hi FLEUR DE GRAUWE can you try the suggestion made by Maud to see if that works for you?

If the TMs you have are not your property, i.e. belong to the client so you can't delete them you could instead try exporting each one to TMX then importing that to a new memory?

Just a suggestion, you could also try renaming the SDLTMs by adding an underscore to the end of each one.  So this:

myTM.sdltm

becomes this:

myTM.sdltm_

I know deleting and restoring is faster, but just in case you're worried about that approach it's an alternative idea... especially if you happen to be running any clean up software that could inadvertently wipe the recyclebin when you're in the middle of this operation.
