Studio 2019 SR1: Sequence contains no matching elements

Question

Although the Knowledge Base (Article No. 000009034 ) claims this issue is fixed, I still encounter it when using the Word 2007-2016 filter for docx files with hidden text (we hide text to exclude it from the XLIFF during segmentation). In my case, there is one element on the cover page of a longer document (a field with report number, a QR code and a contact information field). I created projects with the entire cover page, the cover page with everything except the Report No element hidden, and the cover page with just the Report No. element hidden. In the first two cases, I am able to generate and save a target document. The third document throws the error. Paul Filkin I'd be happy to provide you with the docs!

So, here's my final answer: Support suggested creating a separate File Type Group using the Word 2007-2013 file type. In the meantime, the knowledge base article above has been updated (20 Feb 2019). Here are the relevant bits:

Root Cause

This issue is usually caused by an invisible, empty comment in the SDLXLIFF.

Resolution

In SDL Trados Studio , go to Project Settings -> File Types -> MS Excel 2007-2016 > Common and disable the option Retain Studio target comments in target file. Now try again.
