Number checking in Studio 2019

I cannot seem to get number verification to work in Trados Studio, either with the standard "check numbers" option or with the "number verifier" plugin. For example, if I have 541 235,42 € in the source and €541,235.42 in the target, it reports it as an error "number is missing in target segment or is not properly localised". This is because it doesn't like the currency symbol attached, even though this is correct. Ignoring these errors is not an option because if a number is simply wrong, the exact same error is shown. As it happens, I always run an additional quality check in XBench, so I can afford to turn off number checking in Studio; however, I find it hard to believe that this basic functionality is not there and would rather pick up such errors as soon as possible.

Is there any way, in Studio 2019 or the "number verifier" plugin, of simply configuring the number checking so that it reports any wrong or missing numbers but ignores anything that it considers to be a localisation error?
