SDL Trados 2019_Issue adding termbases_ SDL renames them all "asd"

Hi all,

I am currently having an issue with SDL Trados 2019.

I have got 4 different termbases with different names that I would like to add to my current project.

Either I proceed like I was usually doing, i.e. selecting and adding them all at once, or selecting and adding them one by one, I got the following issue:

SDL Trados 2019 rename all my termbases "asd" and so refuse to attach them all because they have the same name...

I have tried to rename my termbases > same issue!

I have moved my termbases in different folders > same issue!

Any one who could help me?

  • Hi

I'm wondering if the "asd" thing is a bit of a red herring and the issue relates to the "friendly name" of the termbase.  Can you make sure the friendly name in the termbase definition is different for each one?

Screenshot of Trados Studio Termbase Wizard showing step 2 of 5 with a focus on the Termbase Name section. A red arrow points to the Friendly Name field which contains the text 'asd MT Convert'.

I am guessing a bit, but I think it's worth checking.
