Serbian (Latin, Serbia and Montenegro (Former)) missing in Studio 2017

Dear all,

last week we noticed that Serbian (Latin, Serbia and Montenegro (Former)) disappeared in Studio 2017.

We regularly use it for one customer and need it. Does anybody know how we cann add this language?

The old threads to the 2015 bug didn't help us.

Best regards,
Sabrina

  • Dear Steven,

I'm sure several customer's (like our) are still using this language in their projects and TM.
At least the Community conversations from 2015 about former Serbian indicate so.
It is no solution to delete the language in new Studio versions. We cannot work with older Studio versions for years.

Plus, it is really strange: my colleague and I have the same update/patch number.
She cannot see former Serbian in her Studio version (as my other colleagues).
But: In my Studio version I have it in my default template (and only there). How is this possible if we have the same Studio version?

We really need the language and look forward to SDL implementing it again or fixing the bug very soon.

    Best regards,
    Sabrina
  • Dear all,

I am having the similar problem with the language code sr-latn-cs which is not supported either by Trados 2021 or Windows 10. I used to change the language code into sr-latn-rs before importing to Trados 2014 but with 2021 this solution doesn't work. Trados 2021 opens the file but reporting the following error>object reference not set to an instance of an object, and TMs cannot be imported due to the following error> the translation provider does not support this language pair.

Is there a way to fix this problem?

    Best regards,

    Bojana
