Error: Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt. File after File... SDL Studio 2017

Question

Dear all,

I have been working on a project during the last few days but have come across the error message: "Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt."

Yesterday it happened with a file I hadn't started yet, so I deleted it and worked on the other ones. Today it happened with another file! Any ideas what I could do? I updated Studio, reseted the window layout but to no avail.

I am attaching the full error message. Apologies if there is another way of adding the message, I am not very techy. :-(

 Thank you for adding the stack trace/error. 
 This is nearly always useful in trying to find the error. 
 In this case, the error is lying with the SDLXLIFF file itself. 
 The simplest solution would be to recreate the project and see if you are able to resolve the issue. 
 If not- one of the other solutions mentioned in the following article should help.
