Unable to open return packages

Question

Hello 
 I am unable to open return packages. When I create a return package to send the translation to our client, it is created and it is fine because the client never complained, but I am unable to open it to verify that is working fine. I create it myself and then I am unable to open it. 
 When I try to open it I get the following error message:

The same happens when a translator sends a return package instead of Xliff files, I am not able to import it, so I always end up asking for xliffs that I copy over to the target language folder in my project folder structure. 
 Can I get some help please?

If you create the return package you cannot open it, only the project manager can open it. This is the same from the situation when you receive a return package --> if you are not the project manager of the package you cannot open it.

I believe you created a project package, not a return package. Return package can only be created from a project created by opening a projetc package. 
 
Does this package have an sdlppx (project package, to send a project) or an sdlrpx extension (to return a translation project)? 
 
To test a project package, please remove the project from Studio first, because you cannot open a project package when the original project is already there in Studio - this is what the error message says.Then you can open the project package to test it. 
 
As for return packages, it is just the opposite, you can only open them in Studio if you have the original project opened in Studio - as in that case Studio needs your project opened to overwrite the sdlxliff file(s) it contains.

An .wxsz is an SDL world server project package and can be opened in Studio Trados. 
and an SDLRPX is a return package of a project package SDLPPX created in studio.

The return package is only for project packages (*.sdlppx and not *sdlproj). If you are the project manager, you are not the person in charge to create the return package. If you create the return package you are not able to open it. You will be able to open it only of you receive it from the translator.
