Hi, I am about to choose a new PC, and would like to know if I can take advantage of the lower AMD prices or should I stick to Intel.
I read in an old post reply (by Jesse, end 2017) that "Trados Studio cannot take advantage of Ryzen's cores", however there it is not clear if Trados can take advantage of Intel CPU cores instead. Can you please specify if multi-cores influence at all speed of loading, display, filtering, analysis and all operation that usually take a long time with very large files in Trados? And, if yes, is it still true that Ryzen multi-cores will not be used?
Should I choose fast Ryzen (3,6 GHz) should I expect a slower Trados performance than with a similarly o lower clock Intel CPU?
As I am already using an SSD and I will definitely have one or two. in my new machine, I would also like to know if I can definitely expect an improved performance by including 32 Gb of RAM in place of 16 Gb.
Any advice more than welcome :)
