Numbered tag ID for footnotes

Dear SDL community members,

The numbered tag ID for footnotes prevents me from getting the most out of PerfectMatch and I tought you might have a workaround to share.

Context: I usually translate 50-100 pages Word documents containing a lot of footnotes. The documents undergo approx. 4/5 versions over a 2 months lifetime. Whenever an author deletes/adds a footnote in a new version of the Word document, it changes the numbering of the footnotes and hence the numbered tag ID in Studio.

Consequence: when I run PerfectMatch on the subsequent versions, I have to manually check and confirm all the segments containing footnotes and footnote calls, irrespective of whether there are actual changes in the text. The TagID alone prevents the PerfectMatching.

Depending on the document, it may mean 100-200 segments to be checked and reconfirmed, which is a huge waste of time.

Does anyone have a workaround, so that footnotes numbers changes are discarded by PerfectMatch?

My environnement is an institutional setting, using Studio 2017 CU15 + GroupShare Server 2017.

Thanks a lot for your help.
