Hi
I installed Studio 2019 on my new Laptop and the function "Find" Ctrl F or "Replace" Ctrl H are not working (Ctrl G is working properly)
What can be the problem?

Marcel

Hi Paul,
You saved my life! It works. I've been struggleling for weeks. Many thanks!
Is your search problem gone or is it only about the 2 icons? Veronique Barras
The problem as such is gone :-)
I have the same problem with Studio 2019. However, the Find and Replace window simply does not open. It does not show up on Alt+Tab or anywhere offscreen. It works for a while and then when I open another project to work on, it disappears and I need to restart Studio to restore the Search and Replace window.
Hello,
My colleagues and I often have this issue as well. NOT the issue where the window opens off-screen (which also happens often but luckily that one’s easy enough to fix), but the one where the search and replace window does not open at all when we use the Ctrl+F or Ctrl+H keyboard shortcut.
It happens on and off, and sometimes closing and reopening Trados Studio or closing and reopening the file(s) in the editor solves the problem, but sometimes nothing we do works. We’ve tried resetting the window layout, changing the shortcut to something else, restarting our computers...
Paul, , has either of you heard of a fool-proof solution to this problem? I can’t even begin to imagine what the cause may be, but if there’s a known solution, I’d love to hear it!
Thanks,
Christine

Unfortunately I have not. For sure there are problems with keyboard shortcuts sometimes, and I experience them from time to time. Normally I resolve by grabbing back focus in the right place, so if I wanted to make Ctrl+F/H work I would make sure that I had focus in the Editor for example. Other than that I'm not aware of anything to help other than the moving windows thing...

Okay, thanks Paul.
I may end up opening a support ticket if it gets bad enough.
Hi,
Is there a solution for this issue. I am experimenting this with Trados 2019 and haven't been able to find a solution.
Thanks in advance!
