When shortcuts fail, the most often cause is because another program is using the same shortcut or that the shortcut is not valid in Studio-

So the first thing to check would be the settings in Studio-

And maybe reset to default.

If this does not work, then it is worth looking at third party programs and the installed shortcuts to see where the conflict is arising.

I have the exact same problem. For a few instances it works and then later on after a few minutes it stops working (regardless of the file size etc). Highly annoying and I have therefore stopped using Studio 2019 altogether. Again, money not well spent and not what is needed in a hectic working environment such as ours.

I tested Studio 2019 2 weeks now and I changed back to Studio 2017. Reason is the above frustrating search functions working/not working and that Studio 2019 is slower in response (on the same computer and same projects.......)

I'm having this problem too all of a sudden. Ctrl+F simply fails to create a popup window. Nothing happens when I press this keyboard shortcut. I tried restoring my keyboard settings to default, I tried repairing Studio using Control Panel, I tried resetting my user profile; nothing works. When I try to do a search using the search box in the "Review" tab, I get an error message: "The action with ID 'FoldingToolBar_SourceRegexFilterAction' is currently not enabled."

The function was working last night, and nothing happened between now and then other than I opened the Skype app (which people elsewhere said sometimes affects keyboard shortcuts in other programs). Does anybody have any further insight?

I'm having the same issue. The search feature is even gone from the ribbon. Can we have a fix, please?

A have the same problem. The Search-function is visible in the ribbon, but when clicking on it, nothing happens. Nor does Ctrl-+F work. Is SDL working on this problem?

We are September 9, 2019. I have exactly the same problem on my laptop with SDL Studio 2019. Can someone help of have news from SDL? Many thanks in advance!

This worked for me. The Search and Replace function is back. (I got a new monitor recently, maybe this was the reason for the problem).
