As this is the same error message as in your referred-to post, I would say that your ultimate solution back then is probably going to be the way to go this time, too. Export the TM to tmx then import into a new TM.

This, of course will bypass the need to upgrade the TM as it will be created in the latest version, even if you base the new TM on the settings of the old one.

I'm so glad that this has solved your problem. There was probably some extra content in the original TM that was eliminated by exporting to TMX and importing to a new TM.

Speaking of TMX files, I realize that the good old Olifant tool, from the Okapi Framework, is the most practical, no-nonsense tool to make conversions, even huge TMs. I really like it.
