Overwrite mode

Question

Hello, I think I am not the only one who gets annoyed by accidentally pressing the insert key and thereby toggling insert/overwrite mode. This is extremely annoying. In my opinion the overwrite mode is useless and annoying to translators using trados. This issue has now come up for me because I changed over to a new keyboard (micro$oft sculpt) where the enter key is small and right next to the insert key.
Of course the insert key needs to retain its functionality for keyboard shortcuts.
Is there a way of resolving this in the existing version of Trados? And if not, would it be possible to add this feature into an upcoming update.
 Please refrain from giving me the "autistic" answer that you provided to other people on this forum, i.e. press the "insert key again" - I think that people was to be able to permanently disable the "OVR" option!! Thank you.

Indeed! I'd think about a keyboard that doesn't make it so easy to mistakenly toggle it. It must surely get in the way of every application you type into. 
 There is a registry hack on the same page as this link to Sharpkeys... so two more workarounds. Clearly a problem for many users and not necessarily in Studio:

 I don't think you can disable this toggle key, since this is not related to Studio program itself, rather to the global settings of Windows. So yes the only way to disable this is to press Insert key again or look up for disable a generic toggle key in Windows forums.

I think it's a personal preference. There are instances when I do want to use overwrite instead of insert, and with it being a system key, I don't think everybody would be happy if it were disabled in Trados. But AutoHotkey is a great solution. I'm not at my computer now, but will share the script when I'm at my desk. I can't remember if it's been posted to the AutoHotkey forum yet.
