The very same thing just happened to me. I wonder if there is a way to fix it/stop it from happening in the future.

Pleae check in the navigation view for your projects.  Sometimes users inadvertently apply the filter and don't realise that their projects are still there, they just filtered them out:

Have you tried opening the projects again from Studio? 

If this is not your default folder- just navigate to the folder where you have saved your projects.

Yes, of course. All files are gone from the folder, exactly like Valentinas Kulinic described.

As has already been mentioned - Studio doesn't remove the folders on its own accord.

Is it possible perhaps that you haven't stored the folders/files locally- but maybe on an external drive or cloud storage.

Also it would be helpful to understand whether you completely shut down your PC after you have finished working or just let the machine 'sleep'.

I don't store my files on external drives/in the cloud. I always completely shut down my PC.

Hello, I'm very sorry for my delayed response. I did not manage to solve the problem. The files are still gone and nowhere to be found (except for my backup, of course). I am currently a bit less available due to work arrangements, but I will happily discuss it in more detail when my assignment is over (in a week's time). What details do you need aside from the phone number you mentioned? What would the remote session entail?

"Trados doesn´t remove the folders on its own" but IT HAS JUST ALSO HAPPENED TO ME.

It would be very nice if you could stop denying the problem and would begin looking for a solution for it. Users are experiencing a bug with your not exactly affordable software. I only could recover the files thanks to the backup, but they are nowhere else. 

Trados started, as always, having problems by recognising the TM (after having worked in the project for two days with no trouble). Suddenly, TM stops working and when trying fixing it and trying to close and open the project from scratch: surprise! The projects folder is empty. I have recovered the project from my backup but, when trying to open it, this message appears: (translated from German) This project can't be opened in the Studio version you are using... Excuse me?

Please, as mentioned above, look for a solution for this real bug.
