In my experience, the bookmark message is triggered when opening a project that was created in a previous version of Studio.

There is a way to turn the bookmark feature off, supplied a few years ago by Fasil Aziz via Paul:

You can disable this plugin by adding the following line to the plugincache.xml (C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\12.0.0.0)  file:

 <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

<PluginCache>

  <PluginState pluginId="Sdl.TranslationStudio.Plugins.Bookmarks" enabled="False" />

it will be overwritten the next time you install a plug-in but by then hopefully your clients will have updated to 2019.

Thanks - I had this problem too and added the line of code - Studio 2019 is opening a lot quicker now!
