The reason for the EN UK flag is because you selected a generic English... and quite rightly the UK flag is selected ;-)  If you selected a specific English then you get the flag you wanted. So here I selected English (US):

In reverse to this you selected the specific Persian (Iran) and that gives you the funny flag you noted as I also did above.  But if I select the generic Persian I get a different flag, which i presume is the one you expected?

It looks like a bug to me... but it's also worth noting that you should try to be consistent with language selection.  So either always select generic flavours, or always specific flavours.  In general it makes more sense to use generic flavours and then apply attributes where langauge variants come into play:

I guessed it could be a bug, but it's not so important. Thank You for the answer and the useful article, starting to read!

I'm just waiting for Brexit... followed by a split of the Union and then we'll have to redo the English(UK) as well since there won't be one!
