I'm trying to create a server-based translation memory in Trados, but it needs to “Add SDL Server” first. Does anyone know what the Server Address is or where can we find it?
do you have an instance of SDL Trados GroupShare? If not then this isn’t anything you can use.

Thanks for your reply. I have no SDL Trados GroupShare, where can I buy it, BTW I'm using SDL Trados Studio 2017 Professional.

Unless you have access to a product that supports server based TMs this is not going to help you at all. Do you have access to a server based product?

Does the trial version support a server-based product?
Sure... the trial version is a fully featured Professional version of the software. But if you don't have access to a server then the fact it's supported won't help you. You are not really helping me at all. There is absolutely nothing preventing you from exploring the functionalities of the software. You do not need a server based TM to do this. If you are a company looking for a server based solution to support a multitude f translators, reviewers etc. then you need to speak to one of our sales teams so that they can help provide you with a suitable environment for testing. If you are a Freelance translator working on your own then the server-based TMs are not for you.
Can you explain a little more about what you are looking for? Then it'll be easier to help you.

I am using the trial version for freelancers, I created the project for translation but I cannot access any TM, as you said I do not have access to the server-based TM only the file-based one is available but I can simply make out how to get to it, despite the fact that I read info on how to use it. You will need to create one first. Go to your "Translation Memories View" and create a new TM in the language pair you want:
Then when you create your translation project you add the TM you created to it:
