I can reproduce this behaviour with my Studio 2019 SR2 Pro version and MultiTerm CU4.

I hadn't noticed this because I always work with Flags layout because I prefer it! So I changed it to Default, closed Studio, opened it and the same project sdlxliff again and it had returned to Flags layout.

Did Jerzy’s suggestion work for you?

The odd thing is that I have now also noticed that it depends on which TM I have open in the Studio Editor view. For instance, my Financial TB insists on keeping the old Flags layout whereas the small TB that I created this afternoon is displaying with the Default layout.

So maybe it has something to do with the way TBs are created... Then again, it was fine before...

Anyway, I’ll have a look at how my TBs are set up in MultiTerm itself in case I can "force" the default layout there.

Oh, this answers my question, at least partially. Maybe you simply export the TB,save the TB definition and then recreate the TB? Of course if you create a new TB, you can use exactly the same name and settings - but store it in a different place. If that works, you could replace the old one with the new one.

I think this is termbase-specific. I created a new project with a different termbase and on opening the file in Studio Editor, the Termbase Viewer window changed visibly from Flags view to the Default view.

Hi Jerzy Czopik. Your solution about the TB Viewer layout worked.

I exported my rebellious financial TB, saved the TB definition, recreated the TB and replaced the old TM (I made a backup of it beforehand). In Studio 2019 SR2 (Editor View), the TB is now using my preferred Default layout.
