Given the tendency of "auto fuzzy repair" to introduce superfluous blanks, this causes problems when the associated "term" is enclosed within tags, because the search for multiple spaces does not detect this situation, name #tag# (where # represents a space), is there some way to ignore tags in a regex expression? Although obviously a better solution would be stop this "space insertion".
Does this provide a way for you to find them and correct them?

This isn't possible unless you do this on the sdlxliff directly.
Although obviously a better solution would be stop this "space insertion".
Maybe one Kevin Flanagan might be interested in, but certainly only something the development team can address.

One of your competitor CAT tools has extended the standard regex metacharacters with a proprietary metacharacter \tag to address this problem; although it is too general to allow matching of specific tags (which would be better), it does at least solve this problem.
